Introduction
High Performance Butterfly Valve
Fouress High Performance Butterfly Valve (Model – 5422, 5423 and 4S-V30)
Fouress High Performance Double Eccentric Butterfly Valves are designed to replace conventional valves such as ball valves and gate valves. They feature an innovative, compact design, are lightweight, and offer an economical solution without compromising performance.
The PTFE (Teflon) seat ring is engineered to withstand highly corrosive chemical solutions and high-temperature fluids up to 230°C. Typical applications include demineralized water, air-conditioning chilled/hot water, sea water, white liquor, formaldehyde solutions, organic solvents, compressed air, oxygen, exhaust gas, coke oven gas, and similar services.
For higher pressure applications up to 30 bar, Fouress offers a special 4S-V30 design incorporating a Teflon seal with stainless steel backing.
Fouress High Performance Double Eccentric Butterfly Valves are also available with stainless steel seat rings instead of PTFE seats, ensuring a high degree of seat leak tightness (Class IV) and suitability for high-temperature applications up to 550°C.
Features
Fouress High Performance Butterfly Valve (Model – 5422, 5423, 4S-V30)
- Double Eccentric Mechanism: Since the stem is eccentric to the seat ring, the disc contacts the seat ring only when the valve is fully closed, minimizing wear.
-
Benefits of Double Eccentric Design:
- Longer service life due to hard-to-wear seat ring.
- Complete sealing in closed position due to disc seating force.
- Easy operation with low seating torque.
- Offset stem design allows easy replacement of the seat ring without removing the stem.
- Available in both metal-seated and PTFE-seated constructions.
- Suitable for both on/off and control duty applications.
- Model 5422 and 5423 are designed for 20 bar pressure, whereas Model 4S-V30 is designed for pressures up to 30 bar.
- Model 5422 is designed for temperatures up to 230°C, while Model 5423 is suitable for temperatures up to 550°C.
- Reliable design validated through cycle testing.
